Cameron Herberts, PhD, is a Translational Cancer Genomics Researcher at the Vancouver Prostate Centre since January 2017, focusing on clinical genomics studies for personalized management of lethal prostate cancer. Notable achievements include leading translational analyses for biomarker development in late-phase clinical trials. Cameron served as a Visiting Researcher at Tampere University's Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology, where oversight of the development of novel ctDNA cancer phenotyping algorithms was provided. Earlier experience includes research assistant roles at The University of British Columbia in Dr. Martin Hirst's and Dr. Gregg Morin's labs, and an undergraduate research assistantship at the Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Germany. Cameron holds a PhD in Clinical Cancer Genomics and Bioinformatics and a Bachelor of Science in Honours Biophysics from The University of British Columbia.
