Girls Elite NDC Pre-Programs Athletic Therapist at Vancouver Whitecaps

Lydia Maxwell is an experienced athletic therapist with a diverse background in sports performance and rehabilitation. Since May 2016, Lydia has served as the Head Athletic Therapist for the Girls Elite Academy at Vancouver Whitecaps FC, previously working as an Assistant Athletic Therapist for the Girls Super REX program. Lydia holds additional roles as a Contract Athletic Therapist for Canada Soccer’s U17 women’s team, contributing to the U17 World Cup and CONCACAF qualifiers, and as an Athletic Therapist for BC Hockey's Program of Excellence, where Lydia achieved a Canada Games Gold Medal in 2023. Lydia's experience also includes providing athletic therapy services at Delta Health and Performance, working with professional hockey players, and serving the Delta Hockey Academy full-time. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Western States, an Advanced Certificate in Athletic Therapy from Mount Royal University, and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology/Psychology from Simon Fraser University.
