Julie Parmentier

Julie Parmentier is the Founder and Head of Design at Jules Jewels, established in October 2019, where the brand has gained over 11,000 followers on Instagram. In addition to this entrepreneurial venture, Julie serves as a Buyer for Traded Goods at Vandemoortele, focusing on strategic sourcing of finished products in frozen bakery and plant-based food solutions since May 2019. Prior experience includes a role as Buyer for Primadonna in Asia at Van de Velde from October 2015 to May 2019, where responsibilities encompassed supplier management, negotiation, and risk management. Earlier positions include Project Manager for Business Development at Velda Cable Technics and Sales Manager at ARCHITECT@WORK China, where the role involved liaising between the Chinese subsidiary and European headquarters. Julie holds a Master's degree in Language and Area Studies with a focus on Sinology from KU Leuven, and a Bachelor's degree in the same field, also from KU Leuven. Education includes a language certificate in Chinese from Nanjing Normal University.
