Saravanan Rengaraj

Saravanan Rengaraj is a Senior Research Scientist at NPK Recovery, focusing on innovative bioprocesses for nutrient recovery from biowaste within a circular economy framework. Previously, Saravanan served as Head of Science at WASE LIMITED, advancing electrochemical technologies for wastewater management. Experience as a Nitrate Sensors Mentor and Business Development Manager at Zimmer and Peacock Ltd involved sensor data analytics and project development. Saravanan worked as a Research Officer at Bangor University, addressing nitrogen fertilization challenges in agriculture, and contributed to interdisciplinary projects at the University of Bath. A postdoctoral researcher at CEA, Saravanan developed protein nanowires for bio-sensor applications. Academic credentials include a PhD in Electrochemical Sensors from the University of Galway, along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Microbiology from Thiayagarajar College of Arts and Science.
