Alex Jahangir currently serves as Senior Vice President for Physician Network Development and is Associate Chief Medical Officer at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where roles also include Vice Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Director of the Division of Orthopaedic Trauma. With a strong academic presence, Alex holds professorships in Orthopaedic Surgery, Medicine, and Health Policy. Additional leadership experience includes interim roles at the Division of Ambulatory Surgery and overseeing the Vanderbilt Center for Trauma, Burn, and Emergency Surgery. Alex has served on the Board of Directors of HealthStream and played critical roles in public health initiatives, including chairing the Metropolitan Nashville Covid-19 Taskforce. Educational qualifications include a Master of Management in Healthcare from Vanderbilt University and a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
