Jessica Barrett Halcom has extensive experience in talent acquisition and recruitment. Jessica is currently working as the Talent Acquisition Team Lead - Projects and Programs at Vanderbilt University Medical Center since April 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant at the same organization from November 2021.
In their freelance career, which started in May 2014 and is ongoing, Jessica specializes in content creation for blogs, websites, and marketing materials. Jessica has also gained recognition, such as being Hubspot Inbound Marketing Certified and receiving the CRM Software Writers Bronze Award in 2017. Before joining Vanderbilt University Medical Center and starting their freelance work, Jessica worked as a Senior Recruiter at Williamson Medical Center from October 2018 to November 2021. Jessica also held the position of Corporate Recruiting Manager at Schneider National from August 2000 to March 2014. In this role, they led various recruiting programs, developed and managed relationships with internal managers, and reported to the Director of Recruiting. Jessica's career in talent acquisition began as a Recruiter at Humana from 1998 to 2000.
Jessica Barrett Halcom, RACR earned a BA in Communication Processes with a focus on Organizational Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where they studied from 1996 to 1998. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications, including Recruiter Academy Certified Recruiter (RACR) from Recruiter Academy in 2022, and Inbound Certifications from HubSpot in November 2016 and October 2015.
