Scott Nelson is an accomplished Associate Professor and Program Director of the Master of Science in Applied Clinical Informatics (MS-ACI) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where additional roles include Clinical Director and Assistant Professor in medication safety informatics. With a rich background in medical informatics, Scott has contributed significantly to electronic health record projects and medication informatics. Prior experience includes a position as an Associated Health Postdoctoral Fellow at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, engaging in informatics and economic modeling research, and serving as a Research Assistant at the Pharmacotherapy Outcomes Research Center. Scott's foundational experiences include a Pharmacy Intern role at Intermountain Healthcare and multiple research roles at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics.
