Steven Smith

Steven Smith is an experienced IT security professional currently serving as the IT Security Architecture Manager at Vanderbilt University Medical Center since May 2020, where leadership and management of the Clinical Domain team focuses on cyber security and risk assessments aligned with HIPAA and NIST standards. Previously, as a Principal IT Security Risk Architect, Steven managed the implementation of historical asset and risk data into the LogicGate Risk Cloud GRC tool. From April 2008 to August 2018, Steven held the position of Lead Security Software Development Engineer at Cosby Harrison Company, specializing in online credit card processing security and PCI compliance. Steven holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science with a Cyber Security focus from Tennessee Technological University, alongside a Certificate in Applied CyberSecurity from the SANS Technology Institute and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science from Tennessee Technological University.
