Dina Myers Stroud

Research Assistant Professor, Dept. Of Physics at Vanderbilt University

Dina Myers Stroud serves as a Program Officer IPA at the National Science Foundation since September 2022 and has held multiple roles at Vanderbilt University since July 2012, including Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics and Executive Director of the Fisk-Vanderbilt Masters to PhD Bridge Program, where significant programmatic advancements were made and over 18 million dollars in grant funding was secured. Additional experience includes an Executive Director position for the TLSAMP Bridge to the Doctorate at Fisk University, alongside teaching and directing the Fisk-Vanderbilt LSAMP Regional Center of Excellence in Broadening Participation. With a strong background in cardiovascular genetics research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and postdoctoral experience at esteemed institutions like NYU and UCLA, Dina has mentored numerous students while maintaining a robust research agenda. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Vanderbilt University and a B.A. in Zoology and Women’s Studies from Ohio Wesleyan University.
