Thomas Ivens

Thomas Ivens is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product ownership and research within the fields of mechanical engineering and automation. Currently serving as a Product Owner at Vanderlande since February 2015, Thomas has effectively contributed to product development under the SAFe framework, previously holding roles as an R&D Integration Manager and R&D Integration Engineer focusing on system integration for the Warehousing Platform. Thomas's early career includes research at TNO as a Research Scientist in Powertrains, complemented by a graduation project on driver behavior optimization and an internship at DAF Trucks NV on predictive cruise control. Academic qualifications include a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, where participation in the University Racing Eindhoven team enhanced practical engineering skills.
