Akshay Awasthi

Akshay Awasthi, CFE, ADED, CDFE, currently serves as the Senior Manager/Director of Data Loss Prevention at Vanguard since July 2023, leading the establishment of the DLP function and focusing on data security initiatives. With extensive experience at Zoom from October 2020 to June 2023 as Global Lead Data Loss Prevention and Principal in Incident Response, Akshay managed multiple projects and led a pilot DLP program. Prior roles include Technical Lead of Data Loss Prevention and Insider Threat at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. and multiple positions in a confidential organization. Akshay also founded Authentic Techs, offering consulting services in cybersecurity and forensics. Educationally, Akshay holds a Bachelor of Science in Cyber/Computer Forensics and Counterterrorism from Norwich University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
