Tom Renau has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Tom currently holds the position of Sr Vice President Strategic Services at Vaniam Group, starting in January 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Sr Vice President Medical Strategy at the same company from July 2022 to December 2022. Tom also served as Vice President and Executive Director of Medical Strategy at Vaniam Group from 2015 to 2022. Before joining Vaniam Group, Tom worked as a Medical Director at Pharmacyclics from 2014 to 2015, as a Director of Global Publication Planning at Onyx Pharmaceuticals from 2013 to 2014, and as an Associate Director of Publication Planning at Onyx Pharmaceuticals from 2011 to 2013. Tom also had a significant tenure at Genentech, where they served as a Global Publications Leader from 2010 to 2011 and as a Global Project Manager from 2006 to 2010. Earlier in their career, Tom worked as a Chemist and Project Manager at Roche from 2002 to 2006, as a Chemist at Microcide Pharmaceuticals from 1996 to 2002, and as a Post-doctoral Fellow specializing in Medicinal Chemistry at Warner Lambert from 1994 to 1996.
Tom Renau began their education in 1984 at UC Irvine, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Tom attended UC Irvine for four years, completing their undergraduate studies in 1988. Tom then went on to enroll at the University of Michigan in 1989, where they focused on Medicinal Chemistry. Tom pursued a PhD degree in this field and completed their studies in 1994.
