Elliot Branson

Elliot Branson serves as the Vice President of Engineering at Vannevar Labs since January 2024, following a tenure at Scale AI where Elliot held the positions of VP of Machine Learning & Engineering and Director of Machine Learning & Engineering from July 2019 to April 2024. Prior experience includes serving as Head of Perception at Cruise Automation from January 2015 to April 2019. Elliot's academic background includes research at the University of Minnesota, focusing on topics such as loop closure detection and SLAM algorithms, along with roles as an undergraduate researcher and teaching assistant. Elliot holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Minnesota, and also worked as a systems programmer at the University of Missouri and a lifeguard for the City of Columbia.
