Eric Zluhan has a diverse work experience beginning in 2007 when they worked as a Media Specialist at Best Buy. Eric then worked as a Sales Associate at Plan Nine in 2009. From 2013 to 2015, they held a variety of roles including a Research Intern at SUNY Upstate Medical University, a Laboratory Technician at Bayer, and a Research Assistant at Ichor Therapeutics, Inc. where they adapted stem cell differentiation protocol into robot-compatible method, then automated method on Biomek series liquid handling robot. From 2015 to 2020, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Upstate Medical University where they characterized a new role for the Reelin signaling pathway using primary neuronal cultures, cortical explants and mouse models. Eric also wrote macros to expedite morphological quantification and developed custom neurite-outgrowth assays. Currently, they are a Senior Scientist at Vanqua Bio.
Eric Zluhan earned their Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Maryville University of Saint Louis between 2009 and 2013. Eric then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience at State University of New York Upstate Medical University, which they completed in 2020.
