Juanye Zhang

Juanye Zhang is a Research Scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since September 2022, where responsibilities include supporting preclinical small molecule asset progression across various disease areas and developing high-throughput screening methods. Previously, as a PhD Student Researcher at Massachusetts General Hospital from March 2021 to September 2022, research demonstrated a fast, non-invasive detection method for liver fibrosis using iron oxide nanoparticles. During PhD training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from September 2017 to August 2022, Juanye focused on the optical and magnetic properties of nanoscale materials and developed imaging agents for disease diagnosis. Academic background includes a BS in Chemistry from Peking University and significant undergraduate research involving the synthesis of light-emitting complexes and nanoplatelets for QLED devices.
