Chris Nicol is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in collaborative solution development, particularly in creating interactive educational devices. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris leads hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and flat panels, building on previous work as a firmware engineer for the same products. Prior experience includes electronics contracting for the Science Alberta Foundation, where design and repair of educational devices were key responsibilities, and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary. Chris's foundational experience as an electronics engineer at Grindcom involved developing control systems for forestry equipment. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from the DeVry Institute of Technology.
