Julia Wakefield

Julia Wakefield has extensive experience in corporate communications, public relations, and consulting. Julia is currently serving as the Vice President of VANSARY since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the President of Wakefield Communications Strategies, LLC from 2020 to 2022, where they provided independent consulting services on crisis communications and media strategies for executive leadership. From 2019 to 2020, Julia was the Vice President of Corporate Communications at Rubenstein Public Relations.

Before that, they held the position of Director of Public Relations at SmartAsset from 2018 to 2019. Julia also worked at Roar Media from 2013 to 2017, where they held various roles including Director of Accounts and Senior Account Supervisor in Corporate Public Relations and Communications. Julia briefly worked as an Account Executive at rbb Public Relations from 2011 to 2013.

Julia also has experience as a freelance Public Relations Consultant, where they represented various clients and consulted on projects for rbb Public Relations. Julia served as the Principal of their own freelance consultancy from 2011 to 2012. Additionally, they held the role of Past President at the Association for Women in Communications (South Florida Chapter) from 2008 to 2012.

Earlier in their career, Julia worked as a Senior Account Executive and Social Media Director at Schwartz Media Strategies from 2009 to 2011, and as a Communications Specialist at The Weinbach Group from 2008 to 2009.

Julia Wakefield attended Davidson College from 2003 to 2006 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. In 2005, they also briefly studied French Language and Literature at L'Institut Catholique de Paris.
