As a Senior Collections Specialist at Vanta, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the smooth operation of our collections process. You will be responsible for managing the collection of outstanding accounts receivable, addressing customer billing concerns, and minimizing delinquency. This position requires a proactive approach to credit management and an ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.

As a Senior Collections Specialist, you’ll report to the Senior Accounting Manager and contribute significantly to our dynamic and rapidly expanding team.

What you’ll do as a Sr. Collections Specialist at Vanta:

  • Perform analysis of collection practices and develop process improvements
  • Work with our internal sales team and other cross-functional teams as well as outside customers to resolve past due and disputed items to ensure continued relationship
  • Perform outbound collections in a professional manner with a focus on customer service while adhering to Company Policy
  • Analyze delinquent accounts, prepare weekly reports on high-risk accounts and make resolution recommendations
  • Participate in and support systems improvements and focus on streamlining the collection process
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify problems, process gaps and propose reasonable and creative solutions to improve processes including opportunities for automating manual processes or activities within a process
  • Participate in ad hoc accounting projects

How to be successful in this role:

  • 4+ years experience working in collections in a SaaS environment
  • Experience working with Tesorio, Zendesk, Salesforce, NetSuite (or other ERP systems), Stripe, and Bill.com
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong customer service approach
  • Adapts quickly to changes in a dynamic organizational structure and business processes
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent and effective written communication skills

We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The salary or OTE range for this position is $86,000 - $101,000. This role may also be eligible for commissions/bonus, equity, medical benefits, 401(k) plan, and other company perk programs.
