Matti Wallin

Matti Wallin has extensive experience in various roles within the energy sector. Matti is currently serving as the Business Director for the Energy Service Business at Vantaan Energia Oy, where they are responsible for driving strategic initiatives and new business development. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Strategy & New Business at the same company.

In addition to their work at Vantaan Energia Oy, Wallin is also involved in other organizations. Matti is a Board Member at Carbonaide, Palveleva Kaukolämpö FinDHC ry, Masawa Oy, Pilke Energia Oy, Koskipower Oy, and One1 Oy. Moreover, they have served as the Chairman of the Board at Masawa Oy, LE Sähköverkko Oy, and e-Protech Oy.

Prior to their current position, Wallin held various roles at Lahti Energia Oy, including Director of Customer Relations and Business Transformation, Business Director for Heat, Sales Director, and Sales and Development Manager. Matti also has experience as a Project Engineer at the same company.

Matti Wallin obtained a Bachelor of Science in Technology (B.Sc.(Tech.)) in the field of Energy Technology from LUT University in 2012. Matti continued their education at LUT University and completed a Master of Science in Technology (M.Sc.(Tech.)) with a focus on Energy Technology and Energy Economics in 2012 as well. In 2016, Matti attended Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development to participate in the Energy Business Professionals program. Matti then pursued further executive education in 2019 by attending the Leading Strategic and Transformational Change program at the Yale School of Management. From 2018 to 2020, Matti enrolled in Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development once again, where they earned an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree specializing in Strategy, Leadership, and Finance. Additionally, they hold a Certified Power Trader certificate obtained in 2013.
