Kaisa Rajala

Kaisa Rajala is currently serving as the Medical Director at Vantaan ja Keravan hyvinvointialue since September 2023, following a notable career in various medical roles. Kaisa has been a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki since January 2015, where a focus has been on Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Previously, Kaisa held the position of Chief Physician at Keusote, managing multiple aspects of palliative care and elderly services from December 2018 to May 2023, and was a key figure in palliative care as the first consultant in Finland. Other significant experiences include roles as a medical doctor at Terhokoti and HUS, as well as leadership in geriatric care at Mynämäki healthcenter. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medical Science from the University of Helsinki, an Executive MBA from Tampere University, and specialized training in palliative and geriatric medicine from the University of Turku, among other credentials.
