Miia Vähähyyppä

Miia Vähähyyppä has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Miia is currently working at Vapa Media as a Creative, content design. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Content Designer at the same company from February 2021 to May 2022. Before joining Vapa Media, Miia worked at FOKUS MEDIA FINLAND OY as a Managing Editor for Cosmopolitan from March 2019 to February 2020, and as a subeditor for Fit-magazine from September 2017 to February 2019.

Miia Vähähyyppä has also worked as a Freelance Journalist for several magazines such as Elle, Fit, Ilona, Yhteishyvä, K-Ruoka, Evita, Miss Mix, etc. Miia has also done translations from Danish to Finnish for Fit and Koti & Keittiö.

Miia'sother experiences include working as the Editor-in-Chief for TOPModel at Aller Media Oy from September 2013 to November 2014, as well as working as an editor for Miss Mix & TOPModel from December 2012 to September 2013, both of which are part of Aller Media Oy. Miia has also worked as a Journalist at Ilona-magazine for women at Iltalehti (IL-Media) in 2014.

Miia Vähähyyppä gained initial experience as a Journalism Intern at Evita in Bonnier Publications Oy from September 2012 to December 2012, and as a Journalism Intern for Miss Mix & TOPModel at Aller Media Oy from June 2012 to September 2012.

Furthermore, they worked as a Blogger for Keski-Pohjanmaan Kirjapaino Oyj, where they wrote a blog about their exchange period in Groningen, northern Netherlands, from September 2011 to January 2012.

Miia'searliest experience is as a Project Team Lead at UNICEF Finland from February 2008 to August 2010.

Miia Vähähyyppä attended the University of Helsinki from 2007 to 2009, where they studied Scandinavian Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics. From 2009 to 2014, they then pursued a degree in Journalism at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). Additionally, in 2011 and 2012, they studied Journalism at Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen.
