Ajay Rege

Ajay Rege has a long and varied career in the pharmaceutical industry. Ajay began their career in 1984 as an Instructor at Baylor College of Medicine. In 1991, they became the Director of Molecular Pharmacology at Encysive Pharmaceuticals. Ajay then moved to Applied NanoFluorescence in 2007 as the Vice President of Business Operations. In 2012, they joined the Texas Heart Institute as the Assistant Director for Basic Research Management, providing administrative support to over 80 employees. In 2016, they moved to Vapogenix Inc. as the Director of Preclinical Development. In 2019, they became the Head of Research & Operations at The MediSearch Institute. Finally, in 2020, they returned to Vapogenix Inc. as the Director of Drug Development and also began working at Aviara Pharmaceuticals in the same role.

Ajay Rege holds a Ph. D. in Microbiology from Texas A&M University and a B. Sc. in Microbiology from Poona University.
