Embedded System Engineer at Vara Safety

Hao Chang has work experience as a Control System Researcher at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute since January 2021. Prior to that, Hao was an Embedded System Engineer at Vara Safety from October 2019. At Vara Safety, Hao was responsible for programming low-level ARM 32 bits processors, implementing NFC embedded software, designing circuits, and developing prototypes for smart biometric firearm holsters. Hao also had a role as a Control/Embedded System Researcher at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from January 2018 to May 2019.

Hao Chang completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2016 to 2020. Following this, from 2021 to 2024, Hao pursued a Master of Science - MS degree in Electrical/Control Engineering at the same institution. Additionally, Hao obtained two certifications: "OP-210: Introduction to 4-Quadrant PHIL Testbench" from OPAL-RT TECHNOLOGIES in August 2022, and "FE Electrical and Computer" from NCEES in May 2018.
