Tommy Oh

Timmy Oh is a tech founder, executive, and industry expert in firearm safety. In 2016, Timmy founded Vara Safety to make a social impact on gun violence and firearm-related issues.

At the age of 18, Timmy won a Phase 1 grant from the Smart Tech Challenges Foundation (created after the tragic Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting) and started this project. After winning the $100,000 New York business competition in 2016, Timmy look a leave from college to build his company. He has been featured on the Los Angeles Times, Fast Company, etc for his work in firearm safety.

Vara Safety successfully launched in late 2019 and is now rapidly growing. The team is always looking for passionate and talented people who are looking to join our mission in gun safety.
