Field Quality Assurance Manager at Varex Imaging

Edgar Ancajas has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Edgar started their career at National Semiconductor in 1991, working as an Intermediate Product Engineer and then as a Product/Test Engineer. During their time at National Semiconductor, they coordinated process and product qualification for diode packages, developed a statistical process control system for test operations, and played a role in implementing lean manufacturing to boost productivity.

In 1998, Edgar joined Fairchild Semiconductor as a Worldwide Sort and Integrated Yield Management Section Manager. Edgar was responsible for setting up the Cebu Device and Wafer sort Process Engineering organization and driving continuous yield improvement. Edgar also supervised a team of engineers and technicians and implemented Quad-Site wafer probing to improve throughput.

After their time at Fairchild Semiconductor, Edgar joined Varex Imaging Corporation in 2016 as a Staff QA Engineer. In this role, they led cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues with customers, communicated regularly with customers to address quality concerns, and provided input to manufacturing and internal quality using statistical analysis.

Throughout their career, Edgar has demonstrated their expertise in quality assurance and engineering, as well as their ability to mentor and train others. Edgar has been recognized for their cost reduction efforts, innovative methodologies, and contributions to yield improvement.

Edgar Ancajas MBA, CSSBB completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Western Governors University in the year 2019. Prior to their MBA, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of San Carlos, where they studied from 1985 to 1990.

In addition to their degrees, Edgar also holds a certification as a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, which they obtained from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) - MENA in September 2020.
