Equipment Controls Engineer at Varex Imaging

Nathan Collins has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Nathan began their career as a Software Development Intern at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where they developed enterprise server software and improved code reliability through the creation of test suites.

Nathan then interned as an R&D Mechanical Engineer at Varian Medical Systems, working on prototype X-ray tubes, writing manufacturing documentation, and reducing costs.

Following their internships, Nathan worked at Valero Energy Corporation as a Mechanical Reliability Intern, diagnosing and improving the reliability of pumps, turbines, and compressors in the refinery. Nathan proposed and implemented changes that will save the company tens of thousands of dollars.

Moving to Brigham Young University, Nathan served as a Teaching Assistant, instructing students in the use of machining equipment and organizing other assistants.
