Ronnie Boutte, PhD, has extensive work experience in various engineering roles spanning different industries. Ronnie currently serves as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Varex Imaging Corporation, where they have worked since July 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as an Electromechanical Engineer at the same company from September 2019 to July 2021 and as a Lead R&D Engineer from August 2018 to September 2019.
Before joining Varex Imaging Corporation, Boutte worked as the Chief Technology Officer at MEMS Optical Zoom from May 2017 to July 2021. Ronnie also has experience at Northrop Grumman, where they held multiple positions, including Navigational Systems Test Equipment Hardware/Software Engineer from November 2016 to August 2018, Inertial Guidance and Navigation Instrument Test Engineer from December 2010 to November 2016, and Inertial Guidance and Navigation Instrument Manufacturing Engineer from January 2008 to December 2010.
Boutte served as the Chief Technology Officer at MEMS & NEMS Holdings, LLC from April 2014 to April 2017. Ronnie founded and served as the Chief Technologist at nFocus Microsystems from August 2005 to December 2007. Driven by a deep passion for knowledge and research, Ronnie Boutte decided to further advance their expertise in the area of Electrical Engineering. In 2012, they embarked on a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in this field at the University of Utah John and Marcia Price College of Engineering. After six years of rigorous study and research, Ronnie obtained their Ph.D. degree in 2018.
