Stephen Hay

Stephen Hay is a finance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Currently, Stephen serves as the Head of Finance at Varian Medical Systems, overseeing offshore shared service accounting functions and leading the commercial finance function. Previous positions include Head of Finance/Finance Controller for Varian Medical Systems Australasia, where Stephen managed the finance function for the ANZ region. Prior experience encompasses financial leadership roles at Invida Pharmaceuticals, Quintiles, and Innovex, focusing on startup operations, corporate governance, and business growth. Stephen also has an early background as an accountant at BDO Chartered Accountants and Truman & Co. Stephen holds a degree in Economics, Accounting, and Finance Law from Macquarie University and is a CPA.
