Birgir Magnússon is a highly experienced packaging engineer and designer, currently serving as a Senior Packaging Engineer and Mechanical Designer at Varjo since March 2017, where the focus is on merging digital and analog realities to enhance productivity and creativity. Birgir has a strong background in education, having lectured part-time at LAB University of Applied Sciences in User-Centered Design and previously at Lahti University of Applied Sciences in Packaging Design and Branding. Prior to Varjo, Birgir held significant roles at Microsoft as a Senior Designer focused on packaging improvement and at Nokia Design in various capacities from Packaging Designer to Principal Packaging Designer, specializing in sales packages and mechanical design. Birgir holds a degree in Mechanical- and Industrial Engineering from Háskóli Íslands and completed a Professional Programme in Human-Technology Interaction at Tampere University of Technology.
