Gaurav Asthana

Gaurav Asthana is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in software development and technology management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Varo Bank since April 2022, Gaurav previously held the position of Director of Engineering at Location Labs by Avast from August 2011 to April 2022, where responsibilities included overseeing engineering teams and delivering innovative technology solutions. Gaurav's significant technical expertise spans multiple programming languages and frameworks such as Swift, Java, Python, Spring, and Hibernate, along with experience in cloud technologies including AWS and Kubernetes. Previous roles include senior developer positions at 2ergo and Sterling Commerce, and a software engineering role at Infosys. Gaurav earned a B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) in 2005.
