Arja Pesonen

Arja Pesonen has a strong background in finance and leadership roles. Arja currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Varsinais-Suomen hyvinvointialue. Prior to that, they served as the Hankejohtaja at the same company. Before joining Varsinais-Suomen hyvinvointialue, Arja was the Chairman of the Board at 2M-IT Oy. Arja also worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Turku University Hospital for a period of 11 years. Additionally, they served as the Chairman of the Board at Medbit Oy and worked as a Financial Control Manager at North Karelia Central Hospital.

Arja Pesonen holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Eastern Finland, which was obtained from 1992 to 1996. Arja also has a Vocational Qualification in Business and Administration from the Kuopio Institute of Commerce, obtained from 1990 to 1992. In 2005 and 2006, Arja pursued a Business Controller Executive program at Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Certified Chairman of Board from the Tampere Chamber of Commerce in 2019.
