Chief Science Officer at Vascudyne

Zeeshan Syedain's work experience begins with their role as Chief Science Officer at Vascudyne Inc since November 2017. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Minnesota as a Researcher VII/Senior Research Associate starting from January 2014. In this role, they led a project focusing on the development of a heart valve conduit with engineered tissue technologies. Zeeshan also worked on FDA PreIND, ISO5840 testing, and GMP manufacturing. From June 2012 to June 2014, Zeeshan served as a Senior Research Engineer at MSP Corp, where they designed and developed drug delivery systems for aerosol lung and ocular drug delivery. During this time, they achieved milestones such as securing NIH SBIR Phase I grants, validating prototypes in preclinical models, and filing a US patent. From August 2009 to May 2012, Zeeshan worked as an R&D Manager at PowerScope Tech LLC, leading the development of an aerosol micro-needle device for ocular drug delivery. Zeeshan coordinated with ocular surgeons for preclinical testing and explored multiple applications for the aerosol device, including applying for NIH Phase I SBIR awards. Before joining PowerScope Tech LLC, Zeeshan was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Minnesota from June 2009 to May 2012.

Zeeshan Syedain received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University in the years 2000 to 2004. Zeeshan then pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in the years 2004 to 2009.
