Li-Kai Liu

Li-Kai Liu has a diverse work experience in the field of biochemistry and drug design. Li-Kai is currently working as a Senior Scientist at Frontier Medicines since May 2022. Previously, they held the role of Senior Scientist, Structural Biology at Skyhawk Therapeutics from December 2020 to March 2022. Before that, they worked as a Research Associate in Neurology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from November 2019 to November 2020.

In 2018, they worked as a Scientist, specializing in Structure-Based Drug Design at Melinta Therapeutics for a period of six months. Prior to that, Li-Kai Liu served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Biochemistry at the University of Missouri-Columbia from June 2015 to April 2018.

Li-Kai obtained their PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in May 2015. During this time, they also worked as a Predoctoral Fellow at the American Heart Association for a year. Additionally, they gained research experience as a Research Trainee at Mayo Clinic in February and March 2012.

Li-Kai Liu has a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Minnesota. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Bioorganic Chemistry from New York University. Li-Kai completed their undergraduate education at National Taiwan University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemistry. In addition to their formal education, Liu also obtained certification in "Biacore Basics for Biacore 2000/3000 and T100/T200" from GE Healthcare in July 2011.
