Dr. Claudia Leikam

Dr. Claudia Leikam has a long and varied work experience. In 2007, they earned their PhD in Life Sciences from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg. From 2011 to 2016, they worked at ViSERiON UG (haftungsbeschränkt) as CCO and CMO. From 2014 to 2016, they were self-employed, supporting German publishers by setting up an online biology learning platform for students and teachers, and upgrading several websites and presentations. From 2016 to 2018, they were CCO at vAudience GmbH, where they were responsible for scholarship and accelerator applications and turning Geek English and German into texts anyone can understand. Since 2018, they have been CEO of we4bee gUG (haftungsbeschränkt), where they and their team are setting up a network of data-collecting bee hives equipped with hightech sensors to gain insights into bee life and educate people about the importance of honey bees.

Dr. Claudia Leikam began their educational journey in 1989 when they attended Gymnasium Roth and earned their Abitur in General Studies in 1999. Dr. Claudia then attended The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg from 2001 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biomedical Sciences, General, as well as an Anglikum in English Language and Literature, General. Dr. Claudia continued their studies at the same university, completing a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, General in 2007, followed by a Dr. rer. nat. in Life Sciences in 2011.
