David Dissanayake

David Dissanayake has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. David started their career in 2008 as a Public Outreach Intern at AIDS Project Worcester. David then worked as a Research and Outreach Intern at Grassroots International in 2010. In 2011, they became a Program Coordinator at Dynamy Youth Academy.

In 2012, David co-founded The Dissanayake School of Digital Learning and served as its Managing Director. David also worked as a Monitoring & Evaluation Consultant at Seven Hills Global Outreach and as a Research Associate at INTEGRA Government Services International LLC, where they were involved in USAID's Global Broadband and Innovations Program (GBI).

David's career in the comic book industry commenced in 2013, when they joined Bleeding Cool as a Senior Columnist and later became a Senior Correspondent. In 2014, they began working as a Writer at Comicbook.com. David further developed their expertise in the industry by joining Oni Press, where they worked as the Director of Sales from 2016 to 2017.

Currently, David serves as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Vault Comics, a position they assumed in May 2022. David also holds the role of Director of Publicity & Direct Market Sales at the same company, a position they have held since joining the company in 2017.

David Dissanayake began their education at Drew University in 2006, although no degree or field of study information is provided for this. David then attended Clark University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Development & Social Change. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree at Clark University from 2011 to 2012 in the field of International Development.
