Barry Brennan

Barry Brennan has over 17 years of experience in the investment field, having served as an Independent Non Executive Director and Board Member for various investment funds since 2005. In 2016, they founded and became Managing Director of CapF9, a company focused on helping innovative start up companies with fund raising and business planning, connecting investors with early stage technology investments and alternative financing opportunities, and providing specialist consultancy support in relation to FinTech, alternative investment and investment management solutions. Since 2017, they have been an Expert Evaluator for the European Commission's EIC Accelerator (SME Instrument) Funding and Women in Tech programs, a Business Mentor and Investor Panellist for Enterprise Ireland, a Board Observer and Investor for Hexafly, Snapfix, and Vaultree, and a Member of the Angel Squad for Hustle Fund. In 2019, they became an Accredited Co-Investor for the European Investment Fund and in 2022, they will become a Partner for Elkstone.

Barry Brennan's education history includes a Bachelor of Laws - LLB (Hons) from Trinity College Dublin (1990-1994), a B.Sc (Hons) in Digital Technology, Design and Innovation from Technological University Dublin (2017-2018), a Diploma in Company Direction / Member of the Institute of Directors from the Institute of Directors (IoD) (2019), a Rabobank Wholesale Leadership Program at Harvard Business School (2011), an Attorney at Law from New York State Bar (1998-2000), and a Barrister, England and Wales, (The Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn) (1995-1996).
