Martha Powers

Martha Powers began working at VAUSA\u00ae in 2021 as the Director of Professional Development, Director of Matching, and Executive Assistant. Prior to that, they were the Parent Community Network Coordinator at Shafter Elementary School from 2019 to 2021. In this role, they established and nurtured relationships between parents, local organizations, and Shafter Elementary School, creating new partnerships with 15 local and community organizations. Martha also managed social media accounts, maintained the school website/app, and designed flyers and newsletters. Upon leaving, they created a resource hub for a smooth transition with their replacement and archived resources for the future.

Martha Powers attended Hollins University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business/Commerce, General.
