Matthew Pickus is a Business Intelligence Analyst with the University of Michigan, delivering reports and insights to the University President, Regents, Provost, and Deans. The University of Michigan is a $10 billion business and his reporting covers finance, human resources, student iinformation, endowment returns, research, COVID vaccination statuses and more.
Matthew received his BS (School of Natural Resources) and MS (School of Public Health) degrees from the University of Michigan. His MBA degree is from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. He was Michigan’s Man Up Front as the drum major with the Michigan Marching Band and may be the only one on the Vavarde Team who can still do the splits.
He lectures on human factors interface and has delivered talks at multiple Tableau conferences, at AIR Forum conferences, and teaches the use of both Tableau and BusinessObjects. Prior to joining the University, he ran a consulting business specializing in entrepreneurship and strategy.
Matthew’s significant experience as a data analyst and statistician contributes important business intelligence and evaluation skills to the Vavarde Team.
