Leonard E. Weisman, MD

Dr. Leonard Weisman is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Vax-Immune Diagnostics. Prior to this, they were the Director of the Perinatal Center at Texas Children's Hospital from 2006 to 2010. Dr. Weisman was also the Chief of the Newborn Service at Texas Children's Hospital from 1995 to 2005, which is one of the largest newborn services in the United States. Prior to that, they worked at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Weisman began their career in 1970 when they joined the US Army and served as a Colonel in the Medical Corp until 1994.

Dr. Leonard Weisman attended the United States Military Academy at West Point for their undergraduate studies, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering and life sciences. Leonard then completed a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center, where they became board certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine. Dr. Weisman completed a pediatric residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center as well, becoming a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Finally, they earned their Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine.
