Dr. Anjali Apte-Deshpande

Dr. Anjali Apte-Deshpande has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Dr. Anjali is currently working as the Lead Scientific Tech Writer at Vaxart, Inc. Dr. Anjali also has extensive experience as the founder of CENTRAL DOGMA PRIVATE LIMITED and Central Dogma, where they focused on skill development, workshops, projects, and consultancy in the field of bio technology and bio pharma. In addition, Dr. Apte-Deshpande has served as a PhD Guide at Manipal University. Dr. Anjali has also held the position of Principal Scientist at Lupin Pharmaceuticals, where they worked on projects involving cloning and expression of therapeutic proteins. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology, University of Pune, where they conducted research on factors influencing vector competence of mosquitoes. Their early career included the role of Biologist II at SRI International, where they conducted research on gene expression and sleep in rodents. Dr. Anjali Apte-Deshpande completed their education with a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Savitribai Phule Pune University, which took place from 2003 to 2007. Prior to that, they earned an M.S. in Molecular Biology from San Jose State University between 1997 and 1999. Dr. Anjali also received an M.Sc. in Hematology from the University of Mumbai, though the exact years are not provided. Additionally, they obtained an ESET Cyber Security Awareness Training Certificate in July 2022 from ESET North America.
