Krishan Kumar, Ph.D.

Krishan Kumar, Ph.D. has a wealth of experience in the field of analytical development, project management, and scientific writing and editing. Starting in 2021, they are currently the Director of Analytical Development and Associate Director at Vaxess Technologies. From 2016-2021, they were a Project Leader/Senior Scientist and Project Leader/Scientist II at KBI Biopharma, where they were responsible for characterizing biosimilars, fusion proteins, mAbs, multi-specific antibodies, and vaccines, as well as developing an HCP workflow. From 2014-2016, they were an Associate Research Scientist, Project Manager, Scientific Writer, and Editor at the Barnett Institute at Northeastern University, where they established a method to build sample-specific spectral libraries and conducted proteomic analysis of various AKT knock out cancer cell lines. From 2009-2014, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow, Project Manager, Scientific Writer, and Editor at the National Institutes of Health, where they conducted quantitative assessment of host-cell proteins. From 2009-2010, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow, Project Manager, Scientific Writer, and Mentor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. From 2002-2009, they were a Research Fellow, Project Manager, Scientific Writer, and Mentor at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB). Krishan Kumar, Ph.D. has an extensive educational background. From 1997 to 2000, they obtained a BS in Physics, Chemistry, and Life Science from Maharshi Dayanand University. Krishan then obtained a Master's Degree in Biochemistry from Awadhesh Pratap Singh University between 2000 and 2002. Finally, they completed their Ph.D. in Protein Chemistry/Molecular Biology from the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) in New Delhi between 2004 and 2008. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Computational Mass Spectrometry-Based Proteomics from the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry, Mass Spectrometry-Based Proteomics: Computation and Statistics for Discovery and Targeted Analysis from Northeastern University, Workplace Dynamics Series from the National Institutes of Health, and Xevo Q-tof Biomolecule Training from Waters.
