Patrick Hillas

Patrick Hillas is a seasoned professional in the biopharmaceutical field, currently serving as the Director of Analytical Development at Sutro Biopharma, Inc. since October 2022. With a robust background in protein characterization, Hillas held various roles at Bayer Pharmaceuticals from July 2013 to November 2022, including Associate Director and Senior Manager. Prior experience includes key positions as a Senior Scientist at Avid Biotics and a Scientist at Carbylan Biosurgery and Fibrogen, with a focus on protein purification and characterization. Hillas began a postdoctoral fellowship at UCSF after obtaining a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Utah. A foundational education in general studies was completed at the College of Eastern Utah.
