Turaya Naas

Turaya Naas has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of medical information, research, and pharmaceuticals. From 2020 to the present, Turaya has worked as a Medical Information Specialist at VBI Vaccines Inc., where they are responsible for managing the company's Global Medical Information function, developing and maintaining Med Info Standard Response Documents, and reviewing scientific literature to formulate response documents for medical inquiries. Prior to this role, from 2012 to 2020, Turaya worked as a Research Associate and coordinator at Newborn Screening Ontario, CHEO, where they focused on molecular biology, virology, and immunology research, particularly in designing and evaluating screening assays for newborns. Turaya also has experience as a Scientist at VBI Vaccines Inc. from 2007 to 2012, and as a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Ottawa from 2001 to 2007, where they specialized in virology, immunology, and molecular biology techniques. Earlier in their career, from 1994 to 1999, Turaya worked as a Pharmacist and Research Associate at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Alfateh University, conducting microbiology research on hospital pathogens and antibiotic resistance.

Turaya Naas holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology Immunology, which they obtained from the University of Ottawa. Turaya attended the University from 2001 to 2007. Prior to their doctoral studies, Naas completed a Master's degree in Medical Microbiology and Immunology from the Faculty of Medicine, Alfateh University. Turaya pursued their Master's degree from 1995 to 1999. Furthermore, Naas holds a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Alfateh University. Turaya completed their undergraduate studies from 1989 to 1994.
