Yucel Okan Senturk

Yucel Okan Senturk has over 30 years of experience in information technology, holding various roles in different companies.

Yucel Okan worked as an Information Technology Consultant at VBT Yazılım A.Ş. where they were involved in projects such as disaster recovery infrastructure planning for a bank, online system management for a credit card company, and business development on digitalization and IT solutions for financial management.

Prior to that, they served as the Director of IT at Doğuş Tourism Group where they were responsible for managing IT strategy projects for the group. Yucel Okan'saccomplishments include establishing a central reporting system and standardizing business data and systems for group hotels, creating guidelines for hotel development IT projects, and implementing online reservation systems and standardized websites for group hotels.

Yucel also worked as the Director of Technology at Doğan Gazetecilik, where they managed IT and prepress functions and supported corporate newspapers with IT and publishing technologies.

Yucel Okan has experience in the banking sector as well, having served as the Head of Technology Architecture Department at Halkbank, where they established the organizational structure and role of the new department.

Earlier in their career, Yucel held managerial positions at Pamukbank, where they led the group responsible for managing online systems handling various banking applications. Yucel Okan also served as a Project Manager, overseeing the development of systems ensuring data integrity and participating in the design of three-tier system architecture.

Yucel Okan began their career as a Pre-Sales Manager at Integra - INFO Group and an Information Systems Engineer at CSS (Computer Systems Services) and CISI Transtec, where they worked on transforming information systems and developing products to analyze IT systems and implement requested transformations on applications.

Yucel Okan Senturk completed their education in a chronological order. Yucel Okan first attended Galatasaray Lisesi from 1975 to 1983, where they earned a degree in Sciences with a focus on Science. Following this, they enrolled in Boğaziçi University from 1983 to 1988, obtaining a Bachelor of Computer Engineering degree in the field of Computer Engineering. Later on, they pursued further education at Sabanci University from 2002 to 2003, completing a Master's degree in Executive MBA.
