Jason Alexander

Jason Alexander serves as the VP and Chief Information Security Officer at VCU Health since July 2014, overseeing the information security program across all system divisions and regional hospitals. Alexander's extensive experience includes roles as CISO Advisor at Genzeon, Information Security Leader at CarMax, and Information Security Officer at both the University of Virginia Health System and The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. With a strong background in designing and implementing information security programs and policies, Alexander has managed critical initiatives such as vulnerability assessments and patient record system security. Alexander holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering with a focus on Information Assurance and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University.
