Renate Foerch

Renate Foerch is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and editorial leadership within the fields of polymer research and surface science. Currently serving as a Norming Manager at VDE Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik e.V. since September 2020, Renate has also held the position of Managing Editor for "Plasma Processes and Polymers" at Wiley-VCH since 2009, where responsibilities include coordinating manuscript workflows and liaising with authors and reviewers. Previous roles include Project and Network Coordination at EurA Consult AG and Group Leader at FhG-ICT-IMM, focusing on project acquisition and coordination. Renate's career began at Surface Science Western, where research on UV treatment of polymer films was conducted, leading to significant expertise in plasma surface interactions, sensor technology, and biocompatibility. Renate holds a BSc and PhD in Chemistry from the University of London.
