Thorsten Prinz

Thorsten Prinz is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in biomedical engineering and regulatory affairs. Currently serving as Senior Manager for Medical Devices and Software at VDE Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik e.V. since January 2013, Thorsten provides consultancy on regulatory requirements for medical devices in Europe. Additionally, in the role of Scientific Expert at the German Society for Biomedical Engineering within VDE, responsibilities include technology scouting and identifying innovation barriers. Prior to these roles, Thorsten was Group Leader and Quality Manager at Proteome Sciences R&D GmbH & Co., overseeing a biological research group focused on proteomics and assay development. Thorsten's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Utrecht University and a Diplom in Biology from the University of Münster.
