J. Carl Ganter

J. Carl Ganter, founder, is responsible for Vector Center’s vision, direction and strategy. He received the Rockefeller Foundation Centennial Innovation Award, one of the nation’s highest honors, for developing and proving the Vector Center model with Circle of Blue, which he co-founded. He is a passionate journalist, photojournalist, broadcaster and teacher whose work in one form or another has appeared in most major magazines, newspapers, and major television and radio networks. He has spoken at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Aspen Ideas Festival, and Clinton Global Initiative, served as vice chairman of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on Water Security, and is a member of the Forum’s Global Futures Council on Environment and Natural Resource Security. He holds a BA (honors) and MSJ from Northwestern University.

For the past ten years, Ganter has led Circle of Blue, which is among the most trusted sources for information on the competition between water, food, and energy in a changing climate.
