Daniel Roy

Daniel Roy is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as a Full Professor at the University of Toronto since July 2014, having previously held positions as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor of Statistics. In addition to his role at the University of Toronto, Daniel Roy is the Research Director at the Vector Institute, a position held since December 2021, and has also served as Associate Research Director for Industry Innovations. Daniel Roy's prior experience includes serving as a Research Fellow and Newton Fellow at the University of Cambridge from April 2011 to July 2014, as well as holding the position of Resident Tutor at Harvard University from 2007 to 2011 and working as a Research Assistant at MIT from 2006 to 2011. Daniel Roy earned a S.B., M.Eng., and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
