Shang Wang (Sam)

Shang (Sam) Wang is a Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at CentML, bringing extensive experience in software engineering and machine learning optimization. Currently a Graduate Student Researcher at the Vector Institute, Shang has previously held roles at NVIDIA as a Senior Software Engineer, where notable contributions included the optimization of machine learning workloads and the implementation of the BERT model in PyTorch. Prior internship experiences at leading technology companies such as Google, Intel, and Huawei focused on software development, infrastructure optimization, and compiler support. Shang holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering, a Master of Science in Computer Science, and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science at the University of Toronto.
